As a part of an initiative from the Biden Administration to combat the increasing threats from cybersecurity attacks the White House has announced a new partnership with the private sector to support rural hospitals.

According to a statement from the White House, healthcare-related cyber disruptions can be particularly disruptive to rural hospitals, which serve over 60 million Americans. Between 2022 and 2023, cyberattacks against the American healthcare system rose 128%.
