The Joint Commission has announced new and revised requirements for their Infection Prevention and Control chapter that are applicable to their Hospitals and Critical Access Hospital accreditation programs.

The changes will be effective July 1, 2024.

According to TJC, the Infection Control chapter has undergone a compete rewrite and will replace the current chapter.
