The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced revisions to its Hospital Accreditation program to better align standards with U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Conditions of Participation (CoPs). The revisions are effective January 1, 2024. The changes follow recent revisions to the Critical Access Hospital program that are effective August 27, 2023, and also ensure that the Hospital and Critical Access Hospital programs are in alignment.
