The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and public health officials in several states, the California Department of Public Health Infant Botulism Treatment and Prevention Program, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, are continuing to investigate the multistate outbreak of infant botulism linked to infant formula.
At this time the CDC is reporting 23 cases (8 new), 23 hospitalizations (8 new), zero deaths. The outbreak is occurring in 13 states.
