California OSHA recently issued a fine to Kaiser Permanente - Redwood City after concluding an investigation into an MRI accident that injured a nurse.

According to reports, a door between the MRI room and an outer area was left open and a metal bed, pulled by the magnetic field, pushed a nurse several feet across the room, crushing the nurse against the MRI machine. The incident caused serious injuries to the nurse’s pelvis, leg and abdomen, which resulted in hospitalization.
