The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has released a report of data from the 2022 National Violent Death Reporting System. According to the CDC, over 74,000 violent deaths were reported across the U.S. (50 states and D.C.), with an additional 809 deaths in Puerto Rico, as documented by the CDC's National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS).
