The Joint Commission has announced new and revised requirements for their Emergency Management (EM) chapter that are applicable to their Ambulatory Care and Office-based Surgery accreditation programs. For Rural health clinics (RHCs) accredited under the Ambulatory Care program, revised EM chapter requirements beginning at EM.02.01.01 and ending at EM.04.01.01 will be applicable, until further notice.
The changes are effective July 1, 2024.
