The Joint Commission (TJC) has announced a second round of standards elimination and reduction, following the initial standards reduction effort at the beginning of 2023. According to TJC, the reduction and consolidation of more than 200 additional standards, effective August 27, 2023, will streamline requirements, improve efficiency and impact patient safety and quality.
